I really feel blessed to be a part of this institute. Being born and brought up in Nagpur, I got an opportunity to be in frequent touch with Alma Mater and the professors. In true words I can say that I have seen YCCE changing itself with time. The Infrastructure, general Experiment Labs, computer Lab, electrical Lab, Auditorium and importantly Teaching Staff - Professors are very good. Coming from a family of engineers, I joined YCCE to become an Electronics engineer with deep desire to work in private sector. In the initial years of YCCE, we had very limited resources and means to learn and grow. In the 80's with internet and google still decades away and with under equipped library, learning was through collaboration and deeper engagement with lecturers. It took more than just attending the lectures and practical labs to hone your engineering skills. In these challenging circumstances, we were very fortunate to have some of the best forward thinking YCCE professors, they with dedication nurtured our appetite for building a strong technical foundation along with a fearless attitude and progressive mindset - an important trait for technologists and engineers. When we graduated, the global technology revolution was on the horizon with US, Europe and Japan leading the way. In the hindsight, having witnessed the revolution, while playing an active part of it, I can now say that we were very fortunate to have selected YCCE ! I wish YCCE continued success and hope it keeps on delivering on it vision and further nurture the enormous potential of Indian youth. My best wishes! The new initiatives such as external trainings, field visits, etc carried out by the department are worth the praise providing students the exposure required is the need of the time. It would be great if the department shifts its focus to more of a practical based curriculum than a theory based. I am thankful to the college for providing quality education. I appreciate the dedicated, friendly and cooperative attitude of the college staff and Faculty members. The college played crucial role in shaping my professional, ethical and personal life. I admit that the association with the college not only enabled me to acquire a degree but also it helped me to become a good human being and the college also helped to inculcate human values among me and enriched every sphere of their life. It shall notably be stated that the Electrical Department of YCCE was the only department in the state to introduce the subject Substation Design as a part of its curriculum under autonomy. Substation Design was a well appreciated and unique initiative which helped students understand industry procedures through site visits. It ensured that students are well trained to take up industrial assignments confidently. Needless to say, YCCE has provided me the much needed support to develop and build myself in every regard. At first, I felt like any other freshman, anxious towards entering university's atmosphere, yet the anxiety soon faded away & then strangers to classmates to friends to Best Friends was like a drift. I am grateful to YCCE, both the Faculty and the Training & Placement Department. The faculty maintains a friendly relation with the students which make them very approachable; I found this very helpful during my final year project. T&P Department made efforts ensuring maximum number of placed students. I was completely confident and cracked the aptitude and technical tests and interview rounds due to the mock tests and interviews conducted by the T&P Department. YCCE provides a great platform for skills enhancement and to get a great learning experience. Apart from education, YCCE provides ample opportunities for students to showcase and practice their leadership skills through regular events. The faculty makes sure that the coursework is not being taught on students which enables them to 'think ahead' resulting in students taking on internships or pursue exams for higher education. I find myself in a very fulfilling position today career wise and as an individual. I owe this to the time spent in YCCE.
