About Department
The Department of Applied Mathematics and Humanities of YCCE , is established in 1984. The Department has E-Classrooms equipped with advanced teaching aids to make teaching learning process more interesting and interactive. The Department has 24 dynamic, experienced and well qualified faculties with 11 Ph. D. and an average of 14 years of experience. Over 89 Research papers are presented by faculty members in various National and International Conferences and 70 Research Papers have been published in National and International Journals of high repute. Department received grant from department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, Government of India, to organize National Conference. Department has also received grants for minor research projects from MGI, Nagpur. The department has 15 Copy Rights to its credit. Faculty members are resource persons for various conferences and workshops at other institutes and companies. Dr. P. B. Bahatkar is the recipient of Best Teacher Award by Indian Society of Technical education(ISTE), New Delhi and Mrs. Arvinder Kaur has been awarded most Promising Educator , honored by the International Association of Research and Developed India Organisation ( India Education Trust , India)at the RACE 2019 Bangkok Award Ceremony. Guest lectures ,workshops and academic activities are regularly conducted for the holistic development of the students as well as faculty.

Program Outcomes(PO)
Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, Science, Engineering fundamentals and an Engineering specialization to the solution of complex Engineering problems.
Problem Analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature and analyze complex Engineering problems reaching substantiate conclusions using first principle of mathematics, natural sciences and Engineering sciences.
Design/development of solutions: Design solution for complex Engineering problems and design system components or process that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety and the cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
Modern tool usage: Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern Engineering and IT tools including
prediction and modelling to complex Engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
The Engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess, societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional v practice.
Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional Engineering solutions in societal and environmental
contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the Engineering practice.
Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual and as a number or leader in diverse teams and in multidisciplinary settings.
