Advance Trends & Technologies in Computer Networks

The Department of Information Technology has organized Short Term Training Program on “Advance Trends & Technologies in Computer Networks” from 17th – 22nd April 2017. The programme was approved by ACM, Nagpur Chapter. The convener of the STTP was the Head of Information Technology Department, Dr. Ujwalla Gawande and Dr. K.K.Bhoyar, Professor, IT and Vice Chair, ACM, Nagpur Chapter. The STTP was coordinated by Prof. M. Hadap and Prof. S. Jain. The resource persons for the Programme were Dr. Harold D'Costa, Director, Intelligent Quotient Security, Pune, and Mr. Raj Arora, Sr. Network Engineer, Revat Network Academy, Nagpur and Mr. Vinit Kapoor, Tech Architect, Persisant System, Nagpur and Secretory, ACM, Nagpur Chapter. The programme was attended by faculties and M.Tech. students from various engineering colleges in Maharashtra. This programme aimed at studying the recent trends and technologies in Computer Network. The six-day workshop included lecture sessions and hands-on practices. This STTP had also provided a platform to exchange views, ideas and the latest information related to research in this domain. The main objective of this STTP was knowledge updation of teachers and other participants so that the same can be used in teaching, projects, and curriculum development. The programme concluded with awarding of Certificates to Participants. Dr. U.P.Waghe, Principal, YCCE congratulate the team for the great success of this event.

Faculty Development Programme (FDP) Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Applications of Power Electronics and Power Quality Improvement" at Electrical Department YCCE, Nagpur One week ISTE approved Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Applications of Power Electronics and Power Quality Improvement" was recently organized by Department of Electrical Engg., of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engg. during 13-18th June 2016. The programme organized to present the state-of-the art in the areas of Power Electronics (PE) and power quality and the major applications of PE in industries and HVDC transmission. Eminent Professors Dr. Sukumar Mishra from IIT Delhi, Dr.B.G.Fernandes from IIT Mumbai, VNIT Nagpur, Ramdeobaba Engineering College Nagpur and YCCE Nagpur as well as experts from industries delivered lectures during various sessions of the programme. This FDP received very well response wherein more than 30 participants from 13 various governments as well prominent self-financed (private) institutions participated. Prof. B. Y. Bagde Head of Department, Dr. P. M. Meshram coordinator, and Dr. S.P. Gawande, Cocordinator of the programme and faculty members took efforts for the success of the program. Dr. S. D. Special Parents Meet at Y.C.C.E Nagpur
With the objective of making the First year students parents aware of the mechanism and methods of Autonomy and infusing a motivating factor in their wards academic life, the Department of BE First Year of Y.C.C.E. Nagpur, organized an Special Parents Meet for the parents of the newly admitted BE First Year Students on 13th August, 2016. On this occasion Dr. U.P. Waghe, Principal; Dr. S.D. Bhole, Dean (Academic Matters), Dr. P. K. Dakhole, Registar, Dr P.T. Karule (COE) and Prof. A.B. Thatere, First Year Coordinator were present. Dr. U.P. Waghe described the milestones of the college and success of autonomy. Dr. P T. Karule, helped parents understand the examination system of autonomy. The programm was also addressed by Dr. S.D. Bhole, who narrated the minute details about the academic structure, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities. The program end with the vote of thanks by Prof. A. B. Thatere.
AAROHAN - 2016 at Y.C.C.E. Nagpur

Thatere, First Year Coordinator were also present on the dais. The distribution of free laptops to the meritorious students was done at the hands of Hon'ble Shri Dattaji Meghe who shared his experiences of fighting against the adversaries and achieving the impossible. Dr. U.P. Waghe described the milestones of the college and success of autonomy; while Dr. S.D. Bhole narrated the minute detailing about the academic structure, co-curricular and extra- curricular activities. Prof. A.B. Thatere proposed a vote of thanks.
Report on ANTAHEEN 2015-2016 As a part of annual Department event, the Department of Civil Engineering had organized a Vidarbha level event ANTAHEEN-16, on 16th August 2016.The students from all over Vidarbha had participated in the various techno-cultural events of ANTAHEEN. The theme of Antaheen was "Construction site" which was displayed in the department by design head. The concept behind this theme was to make aware the civil technocrats about their work.

The inauguration of the event was done by the hands of Dr. U.P.Waghe and H.O.D Dr. S.V.Ambekar along with other teaching staff of the department. Various techno-cultural event were conducted by Association of Civil Technocrats (ACT), under the supervision of Prof. Khalid Ansari. Around 300 students from colleges all over Vidarbha had participated in distinct events.

On the Event day the department had organized a various programs like Auto-Cad,Trussted, Town Planning, Make in India, Arm wrestling, etc. The winners of various techno-cultural events had been awarded with trophies and bumper cash prizes which was followed by dinner for staff and students.

The entire event ANTAHEEN was organized and co-ordinated by student activity In charge Dr. A. R. Gajbhiye and committee members. They worked for an entire month for the success of this event. Every event was full of joy and zest shown by students.

The technical event consisted of five events which included Town Planning, Autocad, Trussted, Quiz, Make in India in which around 300-400 students participated.
Technical Event ICON 16.0
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering & Electronics Engineering of YCCE jointly organized a National Level Tech Fest "ICON 16.0"on 16th & 17th August, 2016. The Chief Guest was Dr. R.V. Kshirsagar, Ex-Dean Engineering & Technology RTMNU and Principal, Priyadarshini Indira Gandhi College of Engineering, Nagpur. President of the Function was Dr.U.P.Waghe, Principal, YCCE. And Guest of Honor Dr. P.K. Dakhole, Registrar YCCE were also present on the dais. The inauguration ceremony was conducted under the guidance of head of the departments, Dr. P.L. Zade and Dr. Mrs. S.V. Rathkanthiwar. The fest encompassed total more than 16 technical and Semi technical events at National level such as e-addiction and Tech kidos, RoboBlock, Mock parliament, etc. received an overwhelming response, summoning over 1700 entries from different renowned colleges of Maharashtra. This year's ICON endorsed the message of 'START UP INDIA' & SKILL INDIA for spreading awareness amongst the society by organizing a spectacular flash mob at the Futala Lake.

In his Speech Dr. R.V. Kshirsagar, told the importance of participation in technical events for students. Dr U.P. Waghe told necessity of such program for students and Dr. P.L.Zade gives the motivational speech to the students how to survive in today's cut throat competitions. To make these program successful, students coordinators of ET department Prof. K.N.Dongre and Prof. V.B.Bondre and from EE department Prof. K.G.Pande worked hard. Program was comparing by Miss. Samrudhi Joshi and Miss. Roma Hemani.

Department of Information Technology, YCCE Nagpur has organized Two days National level Technical Fest "iTECHROOTS 7.0" during 14th - 15th August 2016, under the banner of SPIRIT - Computer Society of India (CSI), New Delhi. The convener of the Technical Fest was Dr. Ujwalla Gawande, Head of Information Technology Department. The Chief Guest of the program was Mr. Deepak Menaria, Chief Idea Former, Lemon Ideas, Nagpur. The Technical Fest was coordinated by Prof. Sachin Jain and co-coordinated by Prof. Kamal Hajari. Various events conducted in "iTECHROOTS 7.0", were "Code Knight Battle", "Photoarena", "Minute To Win IT", "Time Hunt", "Auction King", "Quiz Mania", "Rock the Campus", "Chakravyuh", "Game zone" and "Workshop on Aptitude Development". Around 1200 students from YCCE, VNIT, GHRCE, St. Vincent Palloti, SB Jain, SDMP, RGCER, KDK and other engineering colleges participated in the Technical Fest. The program was inaugurated by the hands of Mr. Deepak Menaria. He had also given a keynote address on "Entrepreneurship Development". The program was aimed to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talent in various technical and nontechnical events. The program concluded with awarding prizes, mementos, and certificates to the winners and participants of various events.
Compufest 2016 (TECH. FEST)
Department of Computer Technology celebrate it technical festival on 16-17 Aug 2016, more than 900 entries observe in this total 2 days, The events consist of Technical as well as non-technical events where participants was from various premium institute, the most prestigious and popular event in Vidharbha Region is "Overnight coding" also executed on 17Aug night more than 90 participants participated for coding apart from this five workshops named # Hack, Webster, GraphicX, Andriod, Videopedia was also successfully executed, to make the events more happening department also organized Cultural events under the banner of Entheusia where Dance, Singing Competitions held
Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering organizes SPANDAN National Conference on Advances in Engineering, Technology and Applied Sciences every year. This year department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, YCCE hosted the event scheduled on 17th & 18th March 2016 in association with ISTE and Persistent Systems Ltd. as technical and knowledge partners.

SPANDAN 2016 got an overwhelming response of more than 550 entries from across the country as well as from abroad. The inaugural function was graced by renowned personalities like Dr.Anuraj Shankar, Senior Scientist, Harvard University, USA and Mr.Rajendra Jodhpurkar, Center head, Persistent systems Ltd, Nagpur. Dr.U.P.Waghe, Principal YCCE, Dr P.K.Dakhole, Registrar,YCCE, Deans, Principals, HODs and Professors of reputed institutions under MGI umbrella were amongst the eminent dignitaries. Dr.Anuraj Shankar, Senior Scientist also expressed his views and led stress on engineering knowledge as applied to Public Health Services.

He also encouraged the students to work in the direction of reducing the gap between the rich and the poor by applying their engineering knowledge towards benefit of the society. Er. Rajendra Jodhpurkar, Center head, Persistent systems Ltd, Nagpur congratulated the department and YCCE for making SPANDAN a grand success. Sir being the alumni of YCCE expressed his proud privilege for making him a part of this event in YCCE. Next on the cards was unveiling the proceedings of SPANDAN'16 and presentation of mementoes to dignitaries.

Dr.M.D.Chauhan, Organising secretary, SPANDAN 16 proposed the vote of thanks while Miss Samruddi Joshi and Mr.Siddhant Sakhre compeered the event.

Pratikruti 2016 Pratikruti the state level UG project competition was organised by Yeshwantrao Chavan College of engineering, Nagpur on March 11, 2016 at YCCE in collaboration with TCSL. About 1000 students from all over India participated in this event.

The inaugural function was graced by Shri Dattaji Meghe Chairman, NYSS who was the President of the function and Shri. Arvind Kumar Head IT, TCS Mihan Nagpur was the Chief Guest.

In his welcome address, Dr. U. P. Waghe Principal, YCCE, Nagpur highlighted the importance of this kind of competition. Prof. S.L.Bankar, organizing secretary of the event mentioned that out of 286 entries from all over India 160 was accepted by technical team of Pratikruti.

Mr. Arvind Kumar said that there is a need of hour to oraganised such a kind of event by the education institutes which encourage the talent of young engineers. In his Presidential speech Shri Dattaji Meghe asked the young engineers to start their own technical business and then taste the success of life.

Dr. S.S. Chaudhari, Chairman Pratikruti-2016 proposed the vote of thanks. He also congratulates Students from 11 states in India who participated in this technical Competition.

YASH 16 The most awaited techno cultural extravaganza of the year YASH 16.0 was held in Yeshwantrao Chavan college of Engineering, Nagpur during 11th to 17th February, 2016.

The gala event was inaugurated at the hands of Hon'ble Dr. U. P. Waghe, Principal, YCCE. Dr. P. K. Dakhole, Registrar, YCCE, Mr. Chetan Wazalwar, AO, YCCE, Dr. P. T. Karule, Controller of Examination, YCCE, Prof. Jawed Sheikh, Dean, Placements, Mr. Neeraj Wakhre, TPO, YCCE, Mr. A. P. Munshi, In charge, Students' Activities, all heads of various departments were prominently present on this occasion on 11th February, 2016.

The programme got overwhelming response from the students of various engineering institutions in and around Nagpur. Almost 2000 students participated in various technical, cultural and sports events in YASH 16.0.

The main technical events organized under the banner of YASH include LAN Gaming, Smackdown, Autocad, Town Planning, Lathe Backon, Need For Speed, T - Tycoon, Trusted, Dalal Street and Make in India.

Box Cricket, Futsal, Chess, Carrom, Badminton and Cricket were the prominent sport events which have been organized in YCCE campus and Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Sports Complex during YASH.

The most crowd pulling events of YASH were the cultural events like Fashionista (The intercollegiate Fashion Show), Freshers (Only for First Yeat), Symphonica (The singing Competition), Raga Rockers (The band Competition), Razzmataaz (The dance competition), Rodies, Body Building competition, Marathi Drama - Moruchi Mavshi and Bhairavi The mega event cum prize distribution ceremony.

The valedictory function was held on 17th February, 2016 where the prizes were given away to all the winners at the hands of Dr. U. P. Waghe, Principal, YCCE and Mr. Neeraj Wakhare, TPO, YCCE. An enthusiastic team of students under the leadership of Mr. Himanshu Rai as student president of YASH and a motivating team of faculty coordinators under the guidance and leadership of Mr. A. P. Munshi, In charge, Students' Activities of YCCE made this event a grand success.

Receives overwhelming response Keeping the tradition, MEGHOTSAV - 2015, an inter institutional cultural competition among all the institutions under Meghe Group of Institutions (MGI) has been organised in YCCE campus on the occasion of KOJAGIRI on 17th October, 2015.

The programme was inaugurated at the hands of Hon'ble Shri Dattaji Meghe, Ex - MP and Chairman, NYSS. The employees in the various institutions under the umbrella of Meghe Group like YCCE, SDMP, RGCER, ADCC, TUCB, VTC, Sai Aashram etc participated and performed in this competition. DMIETR, Wardha also participated first time in the competition and won the Consolation Prize.   YCCE grabbed the first prize, SDMP got the second and DMIMS-MBA bagged the third one.  The competition was judged by Mr. Yashwant Mandhalkar, Ar. Mrs. Purva Mange & Hon'ble Mrs. Vrindatai Meghe.

On this occasion, a fate consisting of 60 various food and game stalls was arranged. Hon ble Smt. Shalinitai Meghe, Hon'ble Shri Sagarji Meghe, Secretary, NYSS, Honble Shri Sameerji Meghe, MLA & Treasurer, NYSS, Principals and Directors of all the institutions under MGI graced the occasion.

Mr. Aniket Munshi, Mr. Vivek Jayle and Mr. Laxmikant Vande compeered the programme.

Report on, 1st Graduation Ceremony of YCCE, Nagpur The 1st Graduation Ceremony of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Wandongri, Nagpur on getting autonomous institution was held on 27.06.2015 at Shri Datta Meghe Auditorium Hall, YCCE Campus, Wanadongri, Nagpur.

The Graduation ceremony was presided over by Hon'ble Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Chiarman Board of Management and Hon'ble Shri. Nitinji Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Govt. of India who was the Chief Guest and delivered the graduation ceremony address. The Guests of Honour on this occasion was Dr. S.P. Kane, Vice Chancellor, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur, Dr. D.K. Agrawal, Director, BCUD, and Dr. R.V. Kshirsagar, Dean, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur. Hon'ble. Shri. Dattaji Meghe, Chairman, Board of Management, YCCE was presided over the function.

The Hon'ble Chief Guest joined the procession with ceremoniously proceeded to the auditorium, lead by Register of the Institution, holding 'Rajdand' in his hand. All the dignitaries occupied their seats on the dais and the ceremonial 'Rajdand' was placed by Registrar, depicting the formal ceremonial beginning of the 1st Graduation ceremony.

Amongst the other prominent dignitaries, all BOM members including Shri Gulabrao R. Thakare, Joint Director, Technical Education, Regional Office, Nagpur, Dr. S.C. Sahasrabuddhe, Ex-Director, DAIICT, Gujrat, Shri Sagarji Meghe, Secretary, NYSS, Shri Sameerji Meghe, Treasurer, NYSS, Dr. Avichal Kapur, Director General, NYSS & Shri H.O. Thakare, President ADCC Academy, ADCC Infocad Ltd., Nagpur attended the proceedings.

Dr. Dilip Gode, Vice Chancellor, DMIMS, Wardha, Smt. Devika Meghe, President RMMSS & Smt. Vrindatai Meghe, Trustee NYSS also attended the Ceremony on invitation.

The Graduation Ceremony was attended by around 1000 students passed out from YCCE for PG & UG programmes.

Dr. U.P. Waghe, while welcoming the dignitaries and students, highlighted the achievements of YCCE and various efforts taken for strengthening the quality of education.

As per standard procedure, the Principal invited the Chairman of various BOS, to call the graduate students of their discipline who have been certified to receive Degree of RTM Nagpur University.

While the M.Tech students of all programmes were called by Prof. S.D. Bhole, Dean (Academic Matters). The Chairman, BOM, Shri Dattaji Meghe then administered the pledge to all Graduands.

Dr. S.P. Kane, Vice Chancellor, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, Nagpur in his speech elaborated the relevance of ethics and environment with technical knowledge. He called upon young engineers to commit themselves for development of the Nation.

In his Graduation Ceremony address Hon'ble Shri. Nitinji Gadkari, emphasized on innovative technological development and research activities which will resulted in cost saving measures. He charged with inspirational words igniting minds of young engineers to become entrepreneurs and create an environment for sustainable growth of India. He appealed Vice Chancellor of RTM Nagpur University to introduce programmes on Textile Engineering and Aeronautical Engineering and other specialized disciplines for strengthening proposed Textile Park and Boing MRO related activities in MIHAN.

In the award ceremony, Dr. P.T. Karule, COE announced the names awardees who were felicitated with Medals and Citations at the hands of Hon'ble Shri Nitinji Gadkari.

The ceremony ended with National Anthem. The proceedings of programme were conducted by Ms. Arvinder Kaur.

All the dignitaries left the auditorium in the similar ceremonial manner. The 1st Graduation Ceremony of YCCE was attended in large number of invitees, parents and students coming from different parts of the country.
ISTE Best Private Institute Award 2014 on 27.11.2014 to the YCCE
    YCCE received ISTE National Award 2014 for Best Private Engineering College in recognition of the Best Overall Performance in the field of Technical Education in the country in 44th ISTE National Annual Convention organized by College of Engineering, Trivandrum at Trivandrum during 27-29 November, 2014.
